I AM GHAZZA

Directed by | Asma Bseiso

Genre documentary  |  Length: 46mins  |  Year of production: 2009

I Am Ghazza was filmed shortly after the 20089 attack on Gaza. Knowing that media coverage of the attack only told a small part of what was happening, Beseiso left Amman in February 2009 and headed to her parents hometown in Gaza. Her film addresses the social and psychological impacts of the war on the people of Gaza, particularly its children, through the testimony of Dr. Eyad Sarraj, a leading psychotherapist. The film imparts some of the many individual stories not covered in the medias account of this devastating war.
