Thyme Seller portrays the daily life of the director’s mother – a Palestinian woman from the Jerusalem area who plants and collects thyme on her land near the pre1967 “Green Line” in order to sell it for a living. Every day, she collects the thyme and walks through the streets of Beit Jala, knocking on doors one after the other, trying to sell the herb to support her family. This moving portrait is new director Taha Awadallah’s graduation project: ‘It’s the least I can do to reward my mother’.
