BE QUIET Directed by | Sameh Zoabi Genre fiction | Length: 19mins | Year of production: 2006 Zoabi's short tells the story of a Palestinian boy and his father on their journey home to the city of Nazareth. What should be a simple journey is instead beset by the tensions of a politically charged atmosphere and militarized reality, each fuelling the struggle of a father bringing up his strong willed son. Excellent cinematography and fine performances combine to make this a compelling narrative short, for which Zoabi was recognised with a prestigious award at Cannes in 2005.
